Priyanka Chopra Jonas is entering a new age of espionage after landing the lead role in new spy-thriller, Citadel – the start of a global franchise that will produce shows in several countries with local stars in local languages.
“I think what is really unique about Citadel is nothing like this has ever been attempted before,” Priyanka told marie claire Australia as this month’s cover star.
“It’s a show that travels around the world, is shot by people of those countries and made up of people of those countries. I’m very excited to see this cross-pollination happen. And the show is just so fun.”
With an all-star cast, an action-packed plot, and a concept that aims to bring the world together, Citadel is set to be a binge-worthy watch.

What is the plot for Citadel?
Eight years ago, a global spy agency dedicated to keeping people safe, otherwise known as Citadel, was destroyed by Manticore, a powerful syndicate working behind the scenes.
As per the official synopsis, Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh, two elite agents, narrowly escaped with their lives and had their memories wiped. They’ve been living in hiding with new identities ever since.
That is until one night when Mason is tracked down by his former Citadel colleague, Bernard Orlick, who desperately needs his help to prevent Manticore from establishing a new world order.
Mason seeks out his former partner, Nadia, and the two spies embark on a mission that takes them around the world in an effort to stop Manticore.
All the while the pair must contend with a relationship built on secrets, lies, and a dangerous-yet-undying love – the makings of a thrilling spy series.
