Victoria Beckham has been singing Spice Girls hits loudly, on film, and even shared directly to her TikTok, alongside a cryptic comment suggesting that a reunion tour is not off the cards.
How did we get here? We can’t help but ask the same question given that in recent years the fashion mogul, 49, has been known for her strict fish-and-vegetable diet and chic no-nonsense wardrobe ft. towering heels.
Yet, it seems Posh is ‘spicing up her life’ after a hilarious video was posted to her social media accounts of her singing hit Spice Girls song ‘Say You’ll Be There’ next to her long-term husband David Beckham.
The two appeared very much on the sauce while on a night out in Miami but nonetheless looking extremely chic, with Victoria in a black sleeveless dress and Becks in a suit with his shirt unbuttoned unconscionably low.
It was a karaoke moment for Victoria, mic in hand singing along with all her might, but while the room of happy onlookers cheered on the fashionista, we were too busy looking at her caption.
“Warming up the vocals in Miami! More to come!!” she wrote, alongside a ‘shh’ emoji.
Could this be our official warning that we can expect a Spice Girls reunion tour including Victoria?
The drama was only further fueled when a joint account for the Spice Girls — which is made up of stars Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell — reposted the video to their Instagram stories.
They captioned the post, “Once a Spice Girl always a Spice Girl.”
It’s not the first tip-off we’ve had either. Mel B spoke to The Sun back in May suggesting there was news afoot.
“My theory is that if I say it enough, it will happen. But actually, we are planning on releasing a statement,” she told the publication.
“What that is, I can’t say right now because we’re just finishing off perfecting what we’re going to be doing together, all five of us, but it’s going to be something that the fans are really going to love.”
While it’s exciting news for fans of the band, Victoria has continuously quashed the rumours of her going back on tour for years. She did not participate in the 2019 Spice World tour, telling Vogue UK, in 2018 that no one was going on tour, not even the other girls (which we now know wasn’t the case).
When the tour was announced she posted, “I won’t be joining my girls onstage again but being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish them so much love and fun as they go back on tour next year,” she shared on social media.
Mel B has made comments to suggest that Victoria was too busy at the time to join the tour, between her fashion label, David’s career and the kids. Could it be that the timing has aligned to allow Posh back on tour with her girlies?
We can only hope.
