Nobody tell Brooklyn.

A daunting reality that dawns on every new adult is realising that every day, you have to figure out what to cook. So, when you find a delicious, nutritious and quick-to-prepare dish, it’s easy to make it on a constant rotation. And apparently, Victoria Beckham agrees.

Appearing on River Café’s Table 4 podcast with Ruth Rogers, husband David Beckham shocked listeners worldwide when revealing that Victoria has physically consumed the same meal, every single day for 25 years.

But what dish does the fashion designer love so much that she’s committed to it for a quarter of a century? Well, a simple meal of grilled fish and steamed vegetables.

“Since I met her she only eats grilled fish, steamed vegetables, she will very rarely deviate from that,” Beckham told the podcast host.

The former sports star admitted that he doesn’t follow the same culinary path as his wife, revealing that he even gets emotional about food and wants his family to indulge in the same delicacies he does.

And while Victoria’s commitment seems unwavering, David mentioned that she has strayed from her dinner tradition but only for one night, noting it as one of his favourite evenings with her.

“The only time she’s probably ever shared something that’s been on my plate was actually when she was pregnant with Harper and it was the most amazing thing,” he said.

“It was one of my favourite evenings. I can’t remember what it was but I know she’s not eaten it since.”

In fact, the former Spice Girls star has actually spoken about her repetitive diet before on the same podcast.

When asked what her favourite comfort food is, Victoria kept her answer as strict as her diet.

“This is where I sound even more boring in the food department. Ok, what do I like? I like whole grain toast with salt on it.”

Diving deeper into her divisive diet, Victoria also told the podcast host that she’s a “very fussy eater”, and that she’d rather her food to be cooked plainly, minus oil, butter or sauce.

As for David, he admitted that he enjoys when he’s home alone, so he can cook whatever food he’s in the mood for, retelling a recent night when he enjoyed one of his favourite meals.

After isolating for five days, he was home alone as Victoria and the children attended a party.

“I literally had two most amazing cuts of meat, one was a T-bone and I had some English Wagyu,” he said.

“I poured one glass of the most amazing red wine that I treated myself to because I was on my own, looking forward to watching the football in the afternoon on my own.”
