Urban Decay practically invented the nude eyeshadow palette. OK, not really, but they have taken to to new levels of obsession with their Naked series of ultra-wearable, ultra-covetable palettes, and every time UD announces they’re launching a new version, the beauty world goes into a tizz.
And we mean a serious tizz. In 2014, Urban Decay sold more than 5 million Naked palettes – that’s more than the population of New Zealand – and last year in the UK, 20,000 people joined a waiting list to buy it.
Well, strap in because it’s happening again: Come September, UD is launching the Naked Ultimate Basics Palette.
It consists of 12 matte colours, ranging from warm to cool, that were created based on emails and social media feedback asking for more shade options and more matte (and if matte makes you nervous, never fear – there’s a semi-matte colour in there for highlighting).
And, because packaging is everything, there’s a fancy new gold compact, too.
There’s a countdown calendar on the UD website, so mark your diaries and get excited.
