The comedian took to Twitter to share the cover of the book, which promises to feature personal stories “that range from the raunchy to the romantic”.

As if we’d expect anything less.

For fans, it has been a long time in the making. Schumer was first offered a book deal back in 2013, but said she was forced to cancel because she was too busy. And fair enough, too – we imagine writing and starring in your own movie, winning an Emmy and befriending Jennifer Lawrence doesn’t leave you a lot of extra hours in the day.

Or, as Schumer explained to GQ last year, “I had a whole deal, but I decided to wait – I thought I could make more money if I waited.”

Turns out she wasn’t wrong. While Harper Collins initially offered her a cool $1.4 million for her memoir, that figure has since grown to a reported $11 million, after Simon & Schuster entered the bidding war.

Lena Dunham, by comparison, got a lazy $5 million for her 2014 autobiography Not That Kind of Girl.

Still, afraid you won’t be able to get your hands on Schumer’s book just yet – it will hit stands in August. Until then, you can pre-order it at amyschumer.com
