The UK Has Decided To Leave the European Union

The results of the EU Referendum are in.

Despite expectations that the UK would remain as part of the European Union in the EU Referendum, the votes have said otherwise – the UK has decided to leave the EU.

The referendum had over 30 million people vote, and though it was close for most of the counting, the Brexit side broke away and is currently at about 52% of votes. Scotland voted overwhelmingly for the ‘Remain’ campaign with 62% to 38% for ‘Remain’.

The process of leaving the EU will take about two years, and it has been speculated that it could be the end of David Cameron being Prime Minister, as he was one of the strongest supporters of the Remain campaign.

The British pound has also fallen to its lowest level since 1985 in anticipation of the decision.
