The first trailer for the new live action The Little Mermaid just dropped, and it will make you feel all kinds of things.
Based on Hans Christian Andersen’s original Fairy Tale, the story differs in every way to the version popularised by Disney.
The story follows a young girl (Loreto Peralta) and her reporter uncle (William Moseley) who discover the real “Little Mermaid” at a local circus.
Downton Abbey‘s Poppy Drayton stars as the mermaid, Elizabeth, while Hollywood treasure Shirley Maclaine appears as a wise older lady with ~mysterious~ knowledge of mermaids.
