96 years after American women first won the right to vote, Hillary Clinton made history when she became the first female presumptive presidential nominee of a major US political party.
“Thanks to you, we’ve reached a milestone,” Clinton said during a powerful speech, that will no doubt go down in history.
“Tonight’s victory is not about one person. It belongs to generations of women and men who struggled and sacrificed and made this moment possible.”
“This campaign is about making sure there are no ceilings, no limits on any of us.”
