The Beatles Movie Is Thirst Trapping Us With Their Rumoured Cast

Yeah, yeah, yeah please
the beatles movie casting revealed as film is split in four

One of the biggest bands in the world, The Beatles, are finally getting the silver screen treatment. We’ve seen hits like Bohemian Rhapsody and Back To Black captivate audiences, and while it only seems apt the ‘60s rock group should receive the same treatment, it’s the rumoured casting that’s got everyone talking.

Whispers have been circling that four of Hollywood’s it-boys are being pursued for the lead roles—one of which may have just been confirmed by their real-life Beatles counterpart.

If rumours are to be believed, we may see a Gladiator II effect and have films (yes, plural) made for the female gaze. It would only be fitting given the craze the band themselves caused, right?

Here’s everything you need to know about The Beatles movies.

The Beatles Movie Will Be Split Into Four Separate Films

Telling the story of the “greatest rock band of all time” can’t be rushed it seems. Director Sam Mendes has revealed plans to split the story into four separate films, each focusing on a different member of the Beatles and their point of view.

Per a press release on the film, each movie will intersect and “tell the astonishing story of the greatest band in history” before their heartbreaking split in 1970.

“I’m honored to be telling the story of the greatest rock band of all time, and excited to challenge the notion of what constitutes a trip to the movies,” Mendes said of splitting the film in four.

Teasing the sheer scale of this project, Sony Pictures’ CEO Tom Rothman says: “Theatrical movie events today must be culturally seismic. Sam’s daring, large-scale idea is that and then some. Pairing his premiere filmmaking team, with the music and the stories of four young men who changed the world, will rock audiences all over the globe.”
