RECAP:
Osher reminds the ladies that hometown dates are just around the corner, then gives the remaining seven ladies a date card. Tonight Florence is going on her second single date.
Matty enters in a helicopter, and whisks Flo away for a flying tour of Sydney. After landing in a park, Matty reveals the date activity. *Drumroll, please*
Apparently, he’s a former pottery champ, and they’re going to be making bowls. Just when you thought The Bachelor had reached its maximum level of cringe, Unchained Melody plays in the background. Not. Even. Kidding.
Now it’s time to “get serious” and talk about “feelings.” Competitive Flo says, “top seven isn’t that impressive,” and Matty tries to flirt before the Dutch beauty expertly says, “why don’t you just kiss me?”
Former Hockeyroo Elise, keenly observes that Matty is flaunting his guns in a singlet. It’s Activewear Thursday, and the ladies are going to get physical! Next the contestants are asked to write down their fears, and we’re not sure why everyone is doing this in crop-tops and leggings?
Luckily Osher explains that a professional heavyweight boxer is on hand to teach the ladies to fight through their fears.
“This group date was the perfect excuse to punch Flo. She’s been peeing me off for weeks.”
Tara gets chosen for some one-on-one time with Matty, and dinner on a rooftop. Tara is ready to put all her cards on the table, and let Matty know exactly how she feels. In a nutshell, Tara’s mum has already set Matty a place at the dinner table.
Matty confesses that when he’s with Tara everything else disappears. Then the L-word is dropped for the first time this season! *GASP!*
Tara reveals she can definitely see herself falling in love with the 31-year-old.
FINALLY! It’s time for the cocktail party and we’re about to witness Elora’s “big move.”
Elora pulls Matty around the corner and tries to kiss him! He declines her advance as politely awkwardly as humanly possible. But it’s too late because the other girls have already figured out what’s gone down and to say they have zero chill would be a huge understatement.
“Basorexia~The overwhelming desire to kiss,” Elora attempts to explain on Instagram.
Sadly, Lisa Carlton didn’t get a rose tonight, and she’s leaving the mansion. Next week’s teaser confirms it’s time for Matty to meet the contestant’s families, we can’t wait!
