Matty J may have found love on The Bachelor with Sydney-based jewellery designer Laura Byrne, but the public seemingly isn’t too happy about the final result.
The most debated reality TV show in Australia has finally come to an end, but the man who graced our screens week in and week out, Matty J won’t leave quietly.
Following his booting of audience-favourite Tara Pavlovic, Matty J copped some serious backlash. But it didn’t end there for the man who claims he is just genuinely in love.
Last night, fans watched on as he chose to give his final rose to Laura Byrne, which left runnerup Elise Stacy “heartbroken”.
As a result, fans took to social media to savagely respond:
“No offense but wrong girl mate have fun in the first week or two. U guys won’t last long,” one user wrote.
Another commented: “Wrong decision Matty! we are all really disappointed and you will regret your decision!”
“This season was completely ‘flat’ to watch, nothing to what I was expecting at the beginning! Hmm… 🤦🏼♀️ almost feel like I’ve changed my views on Matty 😞,” one more wrote.
Regardless, while speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Matty addressed the comments and revealed, “On the one hand you appreciate there is a TV show being made and you want to be entertaining but at the same time I got what I came for and I don’t care.”
