A 20-year-old woman who was driving on a suspended learnerโs license and was allegedly high on drugs caused a fatal car accident over the weekend, killing a 62-year-old nurse.
Bianca Harrington told a court yesterday that she had smoked โfive bongsโ and โcould not remember where she had been all nightโ when she drove her fatherโs Holden Commodore into oncoming traffic just after 6am at North Gosford on Saturday, reports News Corp.
Harringtonโs car collided head-on into a red Mitsubishi Mirage being driven by Kay Maria Shaylor, a nurse on her way to work at a nursing home.
Shaylor was taken to Gosford hospital before later being flown to Royal North Shore, however she was unable to be revived and later died.
Harrington has been charged with dangerous and negligent driving occasioning death and one count of driving while suspended and the judge refused her bail.
The case has been adjourned until October 28.
