Hens nights are universally known for being fun. Regardless of what fun means to you and your friends, it generally means not having any strict rules and letting loose. And when it comes to choosing your bridal party, brides generally go for their closest friends — not people who are going to bring the mood down.
But for one US-based bride, none of the above applied thanks to an unwanted hens weekend guest who decided to enforce a number of strict and restrictive “rules” on the bride’s guests.
In a post on Reddit, an anonymous guest at the Las Vegas-based hens weekend has shared all the rules enforced by the gatecrasher, who wasn’t even originally invited on the getaway. According to the post, the woman threw a “fit” until the bride gave up and invited her. A few days later, all the guests received an email from the last-minute guest with a set of rules to follow for their weekend away.
Including everything from ‘No drugs” (even prescriptions) to no hard spirits (because she doesn’t want to be “tempted”), the email also asks for $50 each for groceries over the weekend. According to the post, 19 women were going on the trip — that’s $950 for shopping that won’t even include liquor.
The email also confirms that the women are all booked in for a church service at 7.15am on the Sunday morning. “7.15am we’ll be Ubering to the church,” she writes. “I can’t wait to share God with you.” Yes, we think a 7.15am outing is exactly what this group of hungover women will need for their Sunday morning in Las Vegas.
Regardless of the woman’s own objections to alcohol and men (no “random” men will be allowed in their hotel room, as she doesn’t “want to be robbed”) the rules are all kinds of ridiculous. It’s safe to assume the bride shut this down pretty quickly. You can read her whole email below:
Forget about bridezilla, this is a whole new level.
