Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas got engaged when the Game of Thrones star was just 21-years-old, after almost a year of dating.
Speaking to Rolling Stone in its new cover story Turner has opened up on why she felt comfortable with the idea of marrying Jonas at such a young age.
Turner, who turned 23 last month, said that before she met him, she hadn’t envisioned herself getting engaged in her early twenties or maybe even ever. “I was fully preparing myself to be single for the rest of my life,” she told the publication. “I think once you’ve found the right person, you just know.”
She added, “I feel like I’m much older a soul than I am in age. I feel like I’ve lived enough life to know. I’ve met enough guys to know. I’ve met enough girls to know. I don’t feel 22. I feel like 27, 28.”

Turner also explained that “everyone experiments. It’s part of growing up. I love a soul, not a gender.”
Turner and Jonas are set to marry later this year, with the actress recently opening up to Glamour UK about the affair. “A lot of [my happiness now] is to do with being with a person I’ve fallen in love with, who loves me more than he loves himself, and who wants to see me find my own happiness,” she told the publication. “That was probably the biggest thing that pushed me to find who I am and find my happiness in things other than acting.”
