There’s now at least one reason for feminists to appreciate The Bachelor franchise – there’s no gender pay gap.
If this report is to be believed, Sophie Monk will actually earn considerably more for her turn as The Bachelorette than Matty J has pocketed for The Bachelor: a $100,000 difference in fact.
The Courier Mail reports that Monk will make $300,000 for her love-finding efforts, according to an industry insider. They say Matty J, on the other hand, has earned $200,000 for his season.

“Sophie will earn a lot more [than previous bachelors and bachelorettes) because her management would have negotiated well,” the source told the Brisbane newspaper.
Network 10 has declined to comment on the pay packets of either of its stars at this stage.
