You might remember that about a week ago, Serena Williams made a very mysterious post on Snapchat, hinting that she was 20 weeks pregnant.
She posted an image of herself in a yellow swimsuit captioned ’20 weeks’, and the Internet blew up about it.

The post was particularly amazing because it would mean that Williams won the Australian Open…while pregnant. Which is more than most of us will ever do in our lifetime!
The tennis star has now spoken out about the post, which she says was actually completely an accident.
She spoke to journalist Gayle King at the TED2017 conference about the photo.
“I was on vacation, taking time for myself, and I have this thing where I’ve been checking my status and taking a picture every week,”
“I’ve been just saving it, but you know how social media is – you press the wrong button and…”
“My phone doesn’t ring that much, and 30 minutes later, I’d missed four calls. So I picked it up and realised, ‘Oh no’,” she said.
Serena Williams is engaged to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian – they announced their engagement four months ago.
She recently made an official post about her pregnancy on Instagram.
“My Dearest Baby,” she wrote. “You gave me the strength I didn’t know I had.
“You taught me the true meaning of serenity and peace. I can’t wait to meet you. I can’t wait for you to join the players box next year. But most importantly, I am so happy to share being number one in the world with you…. once again today. On @alexisohanian bday. from the world’s oldest number one to the world’s youngest number one. -Your Mommy”
