Selena Gomez has been pictured publicly for the first time since entering a treatment facility after suffering an “emotional breakdown” in October.
In photos posted to Instagram, the singer can be seen wearing her bestie Taylor Swift’s Reputation merch and posing with friends while on a ski holiday.
A source told People, “She’s feeling much better and looking forward to getting back to normalcy. She’s spending time with friends and family.”
The 26-year-old sought treatment for her mental health after back-to-back hospitalisations due to complications with her recent kidney transplant.
The experience “threw Selena into a downward emotional spiral,” according to TMZ reports, resulting in a panic attack during her hospital stay.
Gomez has long been open about her battle with anxiety and depression, a side-effect of her lupus diagnosis.
“I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges,” she told People in 2016.
