If you’re one of the many who returned to work today and couldn’t help but take a sneaky look at some job ads, you might want to hold off.
One particular advertisement posted to SEEK.com.au has made the rounds online, and to say it’s downright terrifying would be an understatement.
The employer, on the hunt for an executive assistant, is offering the candidate an “opportunity to look inside the mind of a successful, fast paced, intense, sometimes chaotic, passionate, easy-going, adventurous 28-year-old entrepreneur”.
The catch?
The applicant must be able to “deal with profanity” and “make the CEO look good.”

The employer, who hails from Melbourne, describes himself as “highly active” and warns “keeping up with his activities and A-type personality isn’t for everyone.”
It’s unclear what industry the job application is for, but the candidates main focus will be to “protect [the employer’s] time, financial interests, image/brand and multiply effectiveness”, as well as “make the CEO look good, feel good and perform at a higher level”.

To be considered for the position, applicants are instructed to send an email with the subject “I’m your executive assistant because I’m (blank)” as well as listing your last two bosses names, their titles and why you loved and hated working for them.
While the ad is listed as part-time, the employer writes the ideal candidate will be expected to answer after hours and weekend calls as “life doesn’t stop when the work day does, adding, “high performers work until their tasks are done, NOT just until the clock runs out.”
He doesn’t stop there though.
Working closely with this CEO, the candidate will “learn his personality and voice” and “manage the majority of his day-to-day activities, scheduling, correspondence, project management, research, and errands among” – pause – “other activities”.
