Sandra Bullock has gone public with a traumatic experience at the hands of โa person of authorityโ while working on one of her first movies.
The experience was so stressful that the Oceanโs 8 star begged movie bosses to fire her so she could escape from the unwanted advances.
โVery early on in my career I had a situation on a film, which was hard,โ Bullock told The Sunday Times in a new interview. โIt came from a person of authority.โ
โI kept deflecting it with humour and it didnโt work. Finally, I said, โplease just fire me.โโ
Bullock doesnโt name the person or movie, but later in the interview she shares her opinion of Harvey Weinstein, who has now been indicted by a New York grand jury on rape and sexual assault charges.
โI heard about Harvey and I was afraid of him,โ Bullock told the Times. โI wasnโt asked to be in that world.โ

โI only heard what Harvey wanted people to hear, and that made me so f**king angry. People would say, โWell, you know how she got that role? She f**ked Harvey.โ I would say, โShut the f**k up. You donโt know that.โ Then, later, to find out that woman was brutally attacked โฆ They didnโt sleep with Harvey. Harvey wanted you to think that.โ
