Renée Zellweger returned to the silver screen last year with Bridget Jones Baby, and the actress said she would do it all again for a fourth instalment of the franchise.
“Selfishly I hope so!” she told US Weekly when quizzed on whether she would don her ‘nanna knickers’ again. “She’s a lot of fun!”
And that was that it. The former Singleton didn’t say much else, however, it’s a good sign. During an interview last year the film’s producer, Eric Fellner, had added some fuel to the fire.
“If you find a role that had such success as Bridget, why wouldn’t you want to reprise that?” he told Vogue. “We wanted to create a franchise following one person’s life. I don’t think that’s been done before.”
And with the most recent film ending on such a cliffhanger (Daniel, played by Hugh Grant, didn’t *really* die in the plane crash), surely Bridget will be back!
