Variety has exclusively revealed that Rebel Wilson is set to star in her own romantic comedy film with New Line.
Written by Erin Cardillo, the film will centre around Rebel Wilson’s character, who doesn’t believe in love, then wakes up to find that she is living in a romantic comedy. We can only imagine what kind of antics she will get up to when she discovers this news!
Currently, we know that the producers are confirmed – Todd Garner, Grant Scharbo and Gina Matthews, however the film is still looking for a director and the name of the movie is yet to be released.
Though Rebel Wilson has featured in a lot of big films like the Pitch Perfect franchise and the Night At The Museum franchise, she’s always played the sidekick character, or the ‘funny friend’ persona. Just quietly, we’re really excited for her to get her own big gig, and can’t wait to see what she brings to it.
We can only hope it’s filled with sass like this Pitch Perfect gem…
