If you see this in a public bathroom, alert the police

This is truly disturbing

You know the plastic hooks that you find on the back of doors in public bathrooms? They have a seemingly innocent purpose – to hang bags or coats on them.

But police have issued an important warning about a particular kind of coat hook that has a camera installed in it that some creeps have been placing in public bathrooms.

NBC reports that the hooks are being purchased online for between $10 – 30, and they’re supposedly sold as home security devices.

Private investigator Carrie Kerskie revealed to NBC that they are very easy to install.

“The battery life for these coat hooks, is two hours. Then, you just take it out, pop it in the computer, and you have all your images,” she says.

“It’s real simple and easy. They just walk in, hang it up, walk out, go back a few hours later and take it off.”

The warning was sent out after the hooks were initially found in some women’s bathrooms in three different locations in Florida.

If you see them, simply report it to police.
