Princess Charlotte has arrived for her first day of school, alongside her big brother Prince George and parents the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
The four-year-old royal was accompanied by her six-year-old brother as she walked into Thomas’s Battersea in London. The two royal children were dressed in their school uniforms. At the door, they were met by the head of lower school, Helen Haslem.
The milestone marked a special moment for the family. When George started at the same school two years ago, Kate was unable to join him because she was ill with severe morning sickness while pregnant with Prince Louis.
Headteacher Simon O’Malley said in a statement released by the palace in May, “We are delighted that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have decided that Princess Charlotte will join her elder brother, Prince George, at Thomas’s Battersea. We greatly look forward to welcoming her and all of our new pupils to the school.”
To mark the occasion, Kensington Royal released a portrait of Charlotte and George on their way to school in matching uniforms.
