Following the Duchess of Cambridge’s excited comments about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s engagement, her husband Prince William has spoken out.
When approached by reporters overnight, the Duke of Cambridge said he was “very excited and delighted for them both,” before saying he hopes having Meghan around will mean Harry will stop “scrounging” his food.
“[We] wish them all the happiness in this very exciting time,” William said, before continuing: “For me, personally, I hope it means he stays out of my fridge and will stop him scrounging my food, which he’s done for the last few years.”
Earlier this year, a Newsweek interview with Prince Harry revealed William’s younger brother “often pops into their apartment at Kensington Palace, where [Kate Middleton] cooks him a meal – roast chicken is reportedly a particular favourite.”
Coincidentally, Harry revealed he actually popped the question to Meghan while “trying to” roast a chicken at their cottage.
Looks like William may just get his wish!
