We’ll be checking our letterbox every single day until May 19 in the hope that a very special invitation shows up from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
On Thursday, Kensington Palace announced that the official invitations for the royal wedding have been produced by Barnard and Westwood—and shared a sneak peek of them.
“The invitations follow many years of Royal tradition and have been made by Barnard Westwood,” Kensington Palace tweeted with a photograph of the very fancy looking invitations.
“They feature the Three-Feathered Badge of the Prince of Wales printed in gold ink.”
The invites use American made-ink on English card (sweet) and are printed in gold and black, then burnished and gilded around the edge.
The Palace has confirmed that “around 600″ have been invited to the service at St George’s Chapel. There will also be a lunchtime reception at St George’s Hall with a lemon elderflower” cake from London pastry chef Claire Ptak at Violet Bakery.
Among the reported guests are the Spice Girls, Elton John, Cressida Bonas and Chelsy Davy.
Save us a seat, will you, Harry?
