The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have officially split from Kate Middleton and Prince William to start their own royal household. The soon-to-be royal parents have moved out of Kensington Palace in favour of Windsorโs Frogmore cottage.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took the split one step further, announcing the launch of their own Instagram account (a very serious split in millennial terms).

The Duke and Duchess of Sussexโs new social media account broke the record for the fastest time to gain one million followers on Instagram, Guinness World Records says.
The account @sussexroyal, set up on Tuesday, reached the one million milestone in just five hours and 45 minutes. It now has more than 2.5 million followers

It seems like there are no hard feelings however, with Kensington Palace welcoming the new Sussex Royal account to social media.

This comes after the news that at one point Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wanted to be โentirely independentโ from Buckingham Palace in general โ something that was reportedly vetoed by the Queen.
