After months of speculation about a royal engagement, Kensington Palace has today confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are getting married!
“His Royal Highness and Ms. Markle became engaged in London earlier this month,” the statement reads.
“Prince Harry has informed Her Majesty The Queen and other close members of his family. Prince Harry has also sought and received the blessing of Ms. Markle’s parents,” it continues.
Meghan and Harry have been dating since July 2016 but their relationship wasn’t confirmed until November. Meghan has recently quit her acting job on Suits to relocate from Toronto to London.
The couple will live in Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace and the royal wedding is set for spring 2018.
Meghan Markle’s parents have also released a statement saying they wish the pair “a lifetime of happiness.”
