Prince Harry has given some of his most revealing interviews yet, revealing that he has a โmassive paranoiaโ about even talking to women, for fear of the constant media attention.
โEven if I talk to a girl, that person is then suddenly my wife, and people go knocking on her door,โ said Prince Harry, who was speaking during interviews with the BBC and Sunday Times at the launch of the Invictus Games in Florida.
He added: โEveryone has a right to their privacy, and a lot of the members of the public get it, but sadly in some areas there is this incessant need to find out every little bit of detail about what goes on behind the scene; Itโs unnecessary.โ
The massive public interest surrounding his past relationships โ with the likes of Cressida Bonas and Chelsy Davy โ has worried the prince.
โIf or when I do find a girlfriend, I will do my utmostโฆ to ensure that me and her can get to the point where weโre actually comfortable with each other before the massive invasion that is inevitably going to happen into her privacy,โ he said.
โTo be fair, I havenโt had that many opportunities to get out there and meet people. At the moment, my focus is very much on work. But if someone slips into my life then thatโs absolutely fantastic.โ The kind of life that most people take for granted is simply not an option.
He also spoke about trying to โfill the voidโ left by his mother, Lady Diana. โThereโs this gaping void, not just in mine and Williamโs lives, but thereโs a huge gaping void in a lot of other peopleโs lives too.โ
