Last time Prince Harry came to Sydney in June, photos of him kissing 97-year-old war widow Daphne Dunne went viral.
Daphne first met the Duke of Sussex three years ago in 2015, where she told him about her husband dying age 25, just a year after they had married.
In June, Daphne waiting in the pouring rain to see Harry as he announced the Invictus Games in Sydney. Harry instantly remembered Daphne, giving her a kiss on the cheek as he left.
Today, as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle met royal fans at the Sydney Opera House to kick off their royal tour of Australia and New Zealand, Harry noticed a familiar face in the crowd, stopping to embrace Daphne and introduce his pregnant wife, Meghan.
“I think it’s wonderful, the two of you,” Mrs Dunne reportedly said to the royal couple, reports Perth Now.
“I’ve seen your shoes, they’re very cool,” Prince Harry said, before asking, “Have you dyed your hair a shade of pink?”
The Duchess of Sussex said she’d heard of Daphne before, saying: “I’m so happy to finally meet you. I’ve heard so much about you. All good things. Enjoy the rest of the day. Hopefully next time we see you we’ll have a little one with us.”
