Being heavily pregnant and riding a cramped subway (train, bus, or any public transport really) you’d expect to be offered a seat, right?
Well Olivia Wilde thought so, but was proven wrong.
The 32-year-old, who is expecting her second child with partner Jason Sudeikis, decided to ride the subway this week and was not happy with her experience.
The actress took to Twitter to vent her frustrations, saying “NBD, able-bodied riders who won’t give your seat to a GIANT preggo. I’ll just stand riiiiight next to your head and pray I go into labor. “
One rude Twitter user showed no sympathy to the actress, sending a tweet (that has now been deleted) that read, “1. I didn’t tell u to get pregnant 2. Get an Uber (you can afford it) 3. I paid the same amt (tax) as you for the subway ride.” Gross.
Olivia replied with a numbered list herself:
Olivia has followed up further backlash this morning with a tweet saying, “Whoa whoa whoa, it’s not about scolding, or celebrity, or who can afford an uber. It’s simply about us all looking out for each other.”
