The ‘Parks And Recreation’ Gang Had A Galentine’s Day Reunion And It Was Adorable

"What is Galentine's Day? Oh, it's only the best day of the year"

Ovaries before brovaries. Uteruses before duderuses. There are a lot of sayings to come out of the Parks And Recreation universe that are both hilarious and incredible life mottos.

Another genius idea from the lovable NBC sitcom? Galentine’s Day, as championed by the embodiment of perfection, Leslie Knope.

What exactly is Galentine’s Day? We’ll let Knope explain:

Celebrated on February 13, Galentine’s Day is about recognising female friendships, exchanging amazing gifts and drinking bottomless mimosas.

Eight years on from the iconic Parks and Rec episode, a few of the show’s stars reunited (we’re unsure exactly when) and Aubrey Plaza documented the historical moment. The snap shows Rashida Jones, Kathryn Hahn, Amy Poehler and Plaza in front of a roaring fire.

“Happy happy Galentine’s Day. These women keep me alive,” the star captioned the post that we’re planning to photoshop our own faces into.

So even if you missed this Galentine’s Day, take the time now show your friends just how much you love ’em. Send them flowers, shower them with compliments, or opt for the ultimate sign of affection and tag them in a meme.
