In the best news we’ve heard all week – okay, all year – J. K. Rowling has announced that two brand new Harry Potter books are on the way.
Earlier this year, the author announced that a Harry Potter exhibit will be featured at the British Library in celebration of the 20-year anniversary of the first Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
And now, she’s announced that alongside the magical exhibit fans will also be getting two new books!
The first, Harry Potter: A History of Magic, which according to the British Library shop, “promises to take readers on a fascinating journey through the subjects studied at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry – from Alchemy and Potions classes through to Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures.”
As well as, Harry Potter: A Journey Through the History of Magic that’s reportedly “packed with unseen sketches and manuscript pages from J.K. Rowling, magical illustrations from Jim Kay and weird, wonderful and inspiring artefacts that have been magically released from the archives at the British Library.”
Both books are released October 20th.
