According to ABC News, Tibbets was dog-sitting for her boyfriend when she reportedly decided to go for an evening run.

She was last seen wearing gym shorts, a black sports bra and running shoes, according to a statement released by the Poweshiek County Sheriff’s Office.

Mollie reportedly sent her long-term boyfriend Dalton Jack, who has not been listed as a suspect, a Snapchat message which he opened at around 10pm that appeared to have been taken indoors, however, the caption and the time the message was sent is not clear.

Jack then reportedly raised concern over her whereabouts the following morning after she didn’t respond to a text message.

“She hadn’t called in,” he told KCRG. “I looked at my phone and noticed I texted her good morning that morning and she hadn’t looked at it. So, I got a hold of her friends and family.”
Police are investigating the Snapchat as well as Mollie’s FitBit which might provide clues into where she was travelling the night she disappeared.
“We live in a digital world,” Richard Rahn, the special agent in charge with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation for the Major Crime Unit, told HLN. “We’ll look at cell phones, computers, social media sites, and everyone knows there’s a Fitbit involved as well. We look at that, try to establish a timeline as best we can. We feel we have done that thus far.”
Police have questioned a local pig farmer, with a criminal history of stalking, according to Fox News, after the FitBit pinged at his farm 10 miles from where Mollie was last seen – however a search of the area returned nothing.
Mollie’s family are offering a reward of $172,000 USD to anyone with information on her whereabouts.

“It is our greatest hope that if someone has her, that they would just release her and claim that money we have raised for her freedom,” Tibbett’s mother Laura Calderwood said at a press conference Thursday.

“Every day I feel Mollie’s presence with me. Sometimes I just feel her sitting on my shoulder,” added the heartbroken mother. “Mollie was an incredibly strong young women. I don’t know that I have the strength in me, but Mollie is lending me her strength every day, every night.”
