After six years together Bloom and Kerr split in 2013, and the 33-year-old says this was the catalyst for her depression.
“When Orlando and I separated I actually fell into a really bad depression,’ she tells the Kerr tells a Canadian magazine. ‘I never understood that depth of that feeling or the reality of that because I was naturally a very happy person.”
The 33-year-old credits mindfulness and positive thinking for getting her though the difficult time. “Every thought you have affects your reality and only you have control of your mind,” says Kerr.
Earlier this year the Australian supermodel revealed in an interview with Byrdie that aromatherapy helped her battle depression following her heavily publicised split from the Pirates of the Caribbean star.
“After Orlando and I separated, I went through quite a bit of depression, and she made this remedy for me, and it’s now part of my range, called the Heart Chakra Essence,” she said.
“When you put it on, it feels like somebody is giving you a big hug; that’s how soothing it is.”
