By any account, it’s been a tough election campaign for Melania Trump.
First there were accusations she had plagiarised Michelle Obama’s speech. Then there were suggestions that perhaps her background wasn’t quite as pure as it may have seemed. And then last week came those “pussy grabbing” claims.
For most of us, it’s fingers-over-the-eyes, can’t-bear-to-look car-crash politics.
For others it’s comedy gold.
Take British socialite and newspaper columnist Jemima Khan, who turned up to a charity event over the weekend dressed as Melania…. complete with a blow-up Trump doll, and you guessed it, grabby hands.
Then Nicky Minaj took a few shots at Melania at the Tidal X 1015 concert in Brooklyn. “Barack needed a Michelle,” she said, “and Bill needed a motherf—king Hillary.” But “you better pray to God you don’t get stuck with a motherf—king Melania.”
But all of that pales in comparison to jokes that Saturday Night Live have been having at Melania’s expense (and also that of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump).
