Overnight, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry visited Westminster Abbey’s Field of Remembrance to pay tribute to those lost at war ahead of Rememberance Sunday.
It was the Duchess of Sussex’s first time at the event and for the occasion she wore a chic oversized textured navy coat with a velvet fascinator. She accessorised by belting her coat at the waist and wearing on trend slouchy knee-high leather boots and leather gloves.
The couple were initially supposed to be joined by Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, however, she had to pull out at the last minute because of a reported chest infection.
Beforehand, Meghan and Harry surprised neighbouring army families in their home town of Windsor where they had tea and chatted about their six-month-old boy, revealing Archie Harrison is crawling and has just gotten two of his baby teeth.
Fellow new mum Amy Thompson said she talked to Meghan about their children being the same age, telling The Sun: “My daughter Aeris is the same age as Archie and we talked about weaning and the children beginning to crawl – she’s just a normal mum and it was like talking to a friend.”
Plus, in an adorable video posted on the Sussex Instagram, Meghan congratulates a little girl on her baby teeth and explains that Archie just got two bottom teeth of his own – you can see the adorable moment below.
On Instagram, Harry and Meghan announced we’ll have more royal sightings this week, too: “As we lead up to Remembrance Sunday, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will join Her Majesty The Queen and other Members of the Royal Family at various commemoration events, including the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall and the Cenotaph.”
