This Hint Suggests Meghan Markle’s Birthing Plan Will Follow In Princess Diana’s Footsteps

The royal baby countdown is on

Despite early reports from royal commentators, Meghan Markle might give birth in London’s Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital in the footsteps of Princess Diana and Kate Middleton before her. This development is a completely unexpected move from the Duchess of Sussex. It was previously reported that the 37-year-old had chosen to take a different direction to her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, and her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. Reports from the Daily Mail said that Meghan would opt against giving birth at the famed, royal family favourite Lindo Wing.

Apparently, it was widely believed that Meghan And Harry would welcome their first child at Frimley Park hospital, a lesser-known option, closer to their new home of Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.

There’s one major hint at Meghan booking her spot at the Lindo Wing, with a source telling The Telegraph: “Staff at the Lindo Wing have been asked not to take holiday in April. Everyone thinks it’s got something to do with the royal baby but no one is confirming anything.”

While seeing photographs of Kate Middleton standing outside the hospital doors with Prince William and their newborn might seem like stock standard practice to our generation – it was once considered to be a royal taboo.

Prince Harry and William were actually the first royals in direct succession to the throne to be born at a hospital – previously royal babies were born privately at Buckingham Palace. As The Sun reports, Diana was induced, telling biographer Andrew Morton, “because I couldn’t handle the press pressure any longer, it was becoming unbearable. It was as if everybody was monitoring every day for me.”
