This week, the statement in question that was made focused on Meghanโ€™s biracial upbringing, as an old blog post from her now-defunct blog, The Tig, resurfaced. In the post, which was taken down when she became a royal, Meghan opened up about the struggles she faced in her teens and twenties.

โ€œMy teens were even worse [than my twenties] โ€“ grappling with how to fit in, and what that even meant,โ€ the post reportedly reads, via The Express. โ€œMy high school had cliques: the black girls and white girls, the Filipino and the Latina girls. Being biracial, I fell somewhere in between.โ€

She continued: โ€œSo everyday during lunch, I busied myself with meetings โ€“ French club, student body, whatever one could possibly do between noon and 1pm โ€“ I was there. Not so that I was more involved, but so that I wouldnโ€™t have to eat alone.โ€

The Duchess has been open speaking on the subject of her upbringing, with her words sure to inspire the young men and women also struggling with their identities.
