Meghan Markle is currently in New York City celebrating the impending arrival of her and Prince Harry’s first child, and we’ve just been given the biggest clue about the baby’s gender.
Friends of the Duchess of Sussex turned up at her hotel, The Mark in the city’s Upper East Side, and seemingly gave away Baby Sussex’s gender. Bearing a large gift, friend and former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer has sent fans into a frenzy with her particular gift-bag.
Spencer carried a baby blue gift bag inside the pregnant royals baby shower, and fans are convinced the royal couple are expecting a baby boy.

One of the biggest questions in the lead-up to Baby Sussex’s arrival has been whether Harry and Meghan are expecting a boy or girl. Stepping out at the Endeavour Fund Awards on February 7, 2019 in London, Meghan was filmed saying, “We don’t know,” when asked if she is having a boy or a girl. Confirming the surprise, Meghan explained, “Yes, we decided to keep it a secret.” Basically, the rest of the world will find out when Meghan and Harry finally do.

While we’re sure Harry and Meghan would be happy with whatever gender their first child is, Harry previously revealed he was hoping for a baby girl. During an event on their royal tour, a student congratulated the Duke of Sussex on the news. “I hope it’s a girl!” he yelled, to which Harry replied, “So do I!”
It’s not unusual for Royals to keep the gender of royal babies a surprise. “Knowing the sex in advance is more American than British,” royal expert and historian Marlene Koenig, author of Royal Musings blog, told Harpers Bazaar US. “I will be surprised if they know the sex in advance. If they find out, they will not be telling the world. I cannot think of any British or European royal announcing the sex of a child before the announcement is made.”
