It comes as no surprise that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are all about breaking tradition, and the royal couple isnโt stopping just yet.
Itโs customary for British royal weddings to serve fruitcake on the top-tier of their wedding cake. This is so it can be preserved (and then re-served) for the coupleโs first childโs christening.
Veering away from royal expectations, the pair has chosen their wedding cake to be made of bananas! Yes, you read correctly: their cake will be banana-flavoured. A source told The Daily Telegraph that the Prince has a special love for bananas, and so it will be that โthis will be the first royal wedding cake made from bananasโ.

But Harryโs obsession with the fruit isnโt the only reason why theyโve chosen this tradition-breaking flavour.
Upon confirmation of the coupleโs relationship in 2016, Meghan used a super cute banana pic to represent her budding romance with the Prince, captioning the post: โSleep tight xxโ.
Royal traditions be damned; weโre loving the sentiment.
