Fans of McLeod’s Daughters (yes – that’s you if you’ve clicked on this story) are losing their minds about the possibility of a reboot of the iconic 2000s Australian TV show.
On Instagram and Twitter, star Michala Banas (who played Kate Manfredi) shared a throwback snap of the show along with the caption: “Watch this space…” that led many to believe a reboot was on the table.
Actress Simone Jade Mackinnon, known for her role as Stevie Hall on the hit show, also shared the same snap.
And now, Nine Network has confirmed to news.com.au that is interested in rebooting the show.
“We are talking to (creator) Posie Graeme Evans about how we could tackle it,” a Nine spokesman said.
“We know how much everybody loves McLeod’s Daughters, it’s an important part of our heritage.
“Nothing is commissioned, or set in stone.”
Earlier in the week, Banas shared a picture of her and McLeod’s Daughters co-star Brett Tucker, adding to speculation about the long-running show’s return.
McLeod’s Daughters premiered in August 2001 and ran for eight seasons. The rural drama series centred around the lives of a group of women running a South Australian cattle station.
