It’s the most wonderful time of the year, especially for The Bachelor couple Matty Johnson and Laura Byrne.
Seven months after finding love on the dating show, the Sydney locals will bring their families together on Christmas day.
The couple told BW Magazine that they will spend the holiday with Byrne’s family in Berry, NSW, with Johnson’s mum flying down from Brisbane to join them.
“I’m really excited about our families meeting,” Johnson said.
But Byrne has revealed this their romance may have never happened if it wasn’t for a last minute decision.
The jewellery designer revealed that she first declined appearing on the show when The Bachelor producers contacted her.
“I said ‘no’,” she told BW.
One producer gave Byrne a last minute chance to join as the other contestants were preparing to head into the mansion, and luckily she finally said yes!
