As the couple's embarked on the second commitment ceremony

Married At First Sight’s second commitment ceremony was equal parts warming and tragic.

Jess and Mick prevailed in Yes Week, despite Mick’s new haircut. Both decide to say.

Cyrell and Nic have had two fights this week. Both times, Cyrell threatened to leave the relationship and the experts identified that as the core problem. “Cyrell, you’ve got a guy that’s good for you that’s saying ‘I’ve got feelings for you’. That’s a pretty good thing to hear,” John says. “Not to me it’s not,” she disagrees. The couple both decide to stay.

Jules and Cam, unsurprisingly, are all smooth sailing and decide to stay. Martha and Michael are also smooth sailing, deciding to stay.

Mel and Dino appear to be going well until Mel admits she hasn’t been intimate with someone since 2009. “In my past relationships, I was never good enough for them,” she tearfully tells the experts. “That’s why I accepted being treated not so great because I always felt like I should be thankful that they were with me. I never felt great about myself. I just don’t think that I will be loved by a guy like that and that scares me because that’s what I want so much.” The couple both decide to stay to work on their relationship.

Lauren and Matthew’s relationship is in tatters following the dinner party. Lauren explains that at the dinner party she heard Matt tell some of the grooms that he wasn’t attracted to her. “The thing that pisses me off is that Matthew was a virgin coming into this and to me when you lose your virginity to someone you have to surely be sexually attracted to them,” she says. “We did that and I just feel used because I feel like was he just doing that to have that experience for the first time?” Both decide to leave.

Heidi and Mark are fight-free this week, and both cheerfully decide to stay.

After Ning and Mark’s gym fight, things have remained a little tense. Mark tells the experts that he’s usually a positive person, but he puts his game face on when he’s at the gym – his work environment. Ning says she wants to leave, but mostly because she assumes he’s also going to leave. “I want to be the one that abandons Mark tonight,” she says. But he says stay. As are the rules, both have to stay in the experiment another week.

Possibly the most problematic couple, Ines and Bronson take their seats in front of the experts. In the previous episode, Sam and Ines decided to stay so they could pursue their own relationship. Therefore, Ines lies and says she’s happy with Bronson. Bronson genuinely IS happy because Ines isn’t treating him badly.

Elizabeth is still nowhere to be seen, so Sam attends the commitment ceremony solo. “She just walked out and I haven’t seen her since,” explains Sam, who doesn’t know where Lizzie is or why she’s gone missing. “I thought I’d see her tonight actually. I didn’t see her at the dinner party. She’s obviously not here. I didn’t expect this from her, she’s just disrespected me tonight.” John explains to Sam and the group that Lizzie has been struck down by a virus. Sam decides to stay, so he can pursue his affair with Ines.
