Married At First Sightโs resident villain Davina Rankin has broken her silence on the wave of online abuse she suffered after her appearance on the hit show.
Rankin has been the target of national hatred, following her decision to begin an โaffairโ with Dean Wells behind her โhusbandโ Ryan Gallagherโs back on MAFS.
In a YouTube video aptly titled โBreaking My Silence,โ the star opened up about her experience since the tense episodes aired.
โThis is actually really hard for me to talk about so I figured my best option was to switch off and disconnect from a world Iโm usually very connected to which is social media,โ Rankin began.
โSocial media and I have a really long relationship together and I started doing Instagram and things like that years ago so Iโm no stranger to it, but copping a really large amount of hate is something that Iโm really not used to and to be honest it really shook me. Itโs been a really hard and traumatic experience for me.โ
โI canโt begin to say how thankful I am for my amazing friends and family,โ she continued, โwho have reached out and told me to keep my head high.โ
She continued, โIt is so important I can tell you first hand to have that support and have an army behind you especially when you feel like you have nowhere else to go or things feel like youโve hit rock bottom. I owe it to you guys to dust myself, stand up and carry on.โ
Rankin then gave her followers some insight into her life over the last few weeks.
