Goodbye Christopher Robin is the cinematic retelling of the true story of the life of A.A. Milne, best known as the creator of Winnie the Pooh.

Set in the 1920s, the film stars Margot Robbie as Daphne Milne, and newcomer Domhnall Gleeson, who plays Margot’s husband, A.A. Milne. The story gives a rare glimpse into the relationship between Milne and his son Christopher Robin, whose toys inspired the magical world of Winnie the Pooh. 

The books bring comfort to England after the First World War, but with the eyes of the world on the family, will they survive? Spoiler alert: this is a tear-jerker.

The film debuts in the UK on September 29 and in the US on November 10, no official word on Australian dates.
