Fans Are Convinced That Lorde Has A Secret Account Dedicated To Onion Rings

Lorde of the rings

While celebrities are often exposed for negative social media behaviour, New Zealand singer Lorde has been outed for a “secret” fan account dedicated to rating onion rings.

Scandalous.

Called @onionringsworldwide, the accounts bio reads “every onion ring I encounter, rated,” featuring photos with descriptive captions that are indicative of Lorde’s poetic lyricism.

A website called Newshub in New Zealand made the massively random claim about the 20-year-old, however when they contacted her management to suss things out, the account was mysteriously deleted.

No names or faces are featured on the account; however an alarmingly large list of evidence suggests that it was run by Lorde herself.

For starters, the Instagram account posted an in-depth review that read “tempura ring eaten ceremoniously on a plane from Tennessee to New York.” This lines up with the singers performance at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts festival.

The account also reviewed an onion ring eaten in Sydney’s QT hotel, a place where Lorde spent some time doing promotional work in May. Another was posted in Hatfield, the day after she played Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Hull Event.

Secondly, the account had 24 followers. Among them were Lorde herself, plus her friends and team members Justin Warren, Jimmy Mac and Maddy Budd.

The plot thickens.

If you’re still not convinced, some modern day Sherlock Holmes’ have unconverted some more damning evidence.

A 17-year old fan also claimed that Lorde is “well-known for having super short fingernails” and apparently there is a striking resemblance between the fingernails in the photos, and Lorde’s own.

We’ll let you draw your own conclusions on that one.

Maybe its illuminati, maybe a fan just got super lucky with a follow from Lorde on their onion ring fan account.

Either way, we will henceforth be referring to the singer as Lorde of the Rings.
