While other celebrities spent their 4th of July weekend poolside or with patriotic brunches, Lindsay Lohan chose a different way to celebrate.
The Mean Girls star jumped on to Twitter to defend US President Donald Trump against haters online, calling for people to stop “#bullying him”.
“THIS IS our president. Stop #bullying him & start trusting him. Thank you personally for supporting #THEUSA,” Lohan wrote in response to a Tweet about Trump’s CNN scandal.
The 30-year-old added:
Of course, the internet immediately responded in disbelief that the actress was supporting the controversial US President.
Others pointed out that Trump had told radio host Howard Stern in an interview about Lindsay Lohan in 2004 that “deeply troubled” women are “always the best in bed”.
