Bad news for Gilmore Girls fans.
If you were hoping to pay another visit to Stars Hollow with a second Netflix revival series, itโs seeming more and more unlikely that your dreams will come true. WhileNetflix claimed to be in talks for another season, the stars themselves arenโt on board just yet.

Lauren Graham (Lorelai Gilmore) and Alexis Bledel (Rory Gilmore) have addressed the possibility of another series at a TV Line event hosted by Deadline on Sunday. Donโt worry, the girls share your pain over that four-word ending.
โThatโs not an ending, thatโs a cliffhanger!โ Graham said of the last words, which Rory used to tell her mom she was pregnant. โIt took me a minute, but I eventually loved itโฆbut itโs not an ending.โ
โItโs certainly not the ending I expected,โ Bledel said. โI told Amy [Sherman-Palladino] I wanted Rory to end on a high note after all her hard work. I wanted her to succeedโฆso it was a hard thing for me to digest.โ

Despite their uneasiness over the ending, they arenโt yet convinced that there should be more episodes.
โNow itโs become what could we do with this story that is satisfying, that is worth continuing. I donโt know if there is a need to do more,โ Graham said. โI would never want to make it feel like weโve overstayed our welcome.โ
โI think for me it comes down to what story weโre telling,โ Bledel added. โI donโt think we couldโve anticipated that this would happen so I think weโre still reeling from that.โ
While itโs not exactly looking good, Lauren did say she would love to play Lorelai Gilmore โuntil [her] dying dayโ if she could. So keep your fingers crossed and your pop tarts at the ready, people!
