Itโs not every day you make a cup of coffee at home and then have a chat to the future king of England, but for Lady Gaga thatโs exactly what happened when she Skype called Buckingham Palace to talk to Prince William.
The reason for their cyber date was to discuss mental health as part of the Heads Together campaign, which is being supported heavily by Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and Prince Harry, and aims to break the stigma attached to having a mental illness.

Itโs also the reason Prince Harry spoke openly for the first time about his battles with dealing with his grief over his motherโs death yesterday.
During the call, Prince William commends Lady Gaga on speaking openly about living with PTSD, to which she replies, โThereโs a lot of shame attached to mental illness, you feel like something is wrong with you and in my life, I go โoh my goodness, look at all of these beautiful, wonderful things that I have.'โ

โAnd I should be so happy but you canโt help it if in the morning when you wake up, you are so tired, you are so sad, you are so full of anxiety and the shakes that you can barely think โ but it was like saying โthis is a part of me and thatโs OK.โ
โEven though it was hard, it was the best thing that could come out of my mental illness,โ she said. โTo share it with other people and let our generation, as well as other generations, know that if you are feeling not well in your mind, you are not alone.โ
