Kylie Jenner may be followed by 140 million people on Instagram alone, but if you thought that meant she’d miss a snide comment directed at her, you’d be wrong.
Yesterday, the 21-year-old posted a naked photo of her during her Kylie Skin holiday in the Bahamas, wearing nothing but a huge Jacquemus hat. The image quickly racked up over 10 million likes and 81,000 comments, one of which was an influencer accusing Kylie of copying her photo.
US beauty influencer Amanda Ensing, who has 1.4 million followers on Instagram and the same amount of subscribers on YouTube, wrote, “This photo looks awfully familiar 😅” in Kylie’s comments, referencing a photo she posted last month on the beach wearing nothing but a big straw hat.
Instead of ignoring, or simply not noticing the comment, Kylie quickly clapped back with a comeback for the history books: She wrote, “From the words of Kim K ur not on my mood board but I did get my inspo off of Pinterest.”
Kylie’s response got 22k likes with almost 1000 comments from fans in support.
Surprisingly, this isn’t Amanda’s first brush with the Kardashians. Back in June 2017, she was one of the beauty influencers invited to Kim Kardashian’s KKW Beauty launch – there’s even a photo of them together – and in March 2018, she filmed a video in Kylie’s former glam room after a friend of hers bought the Kardashians former home.
Of course, it’s a bold move to start a public feud with someone as influential as Kylie and quickly Amanda’s post was flooded with people taking the youngest Kardashian-Jenner’s side.
There you have it, the naked hat wars have officially begun.
